New Features of Mozilla Firefox Version 138.0:

1. Profile Management

Users can now create multiple profiles with different bookmarks, tabs, and browsing history. This feature will be useful for work, study, travel planning, or any other need. Each profile will have a different avatar and color theme, and it will be easy to switch between them.

2. Weather Suggestions (USA Only)

Firefox users in the US can now get weather-related suggestions as soon as they type weather or a city name in the address bar. This information will be displayed directly in the address bar’s drop-down.

3. Tab Groups

Mozilla has further improved the tab groups feature in Firefox 138. According to the company, this feature is now available to almost all users worldwide. Additionally, some new updates related to tabs have been added in this version, making the browsing experience even smoother.

  • Create Tab Groups with Drag and Drop: You can now create a new tab group by simply dragging and dropping one tab onto another. This process takes just a second to complete.
  • Move Tab Groups: You can now rearrange tab groups by dragging them as per your convenience.

4. Copy Links from Background Tabs

Mozilla has added another useful feature in the latest version (Firefox 138) of the Firefox browser. Now users on Linux and macOS can copy links from background tabs, and this feature is available through the tab strip context menu. Unfortunately, this feature is not yet available for Windows users.

5. Better Integration with Windows 11

Mozilla has made several small improvements in this new version of Firefox that enhance the browsing experience. On Windows 11, Firefox will now use an acrylic-style menu, which better matches the aesthetics of the operating system.

In addition to the features mentioned above, Mozilla has warned users that on Windows, the password migration wizard from Chrome (or Chrome-based browsers) to Firefox may no longer function properly. This is due to recent changes made in Chrome.

Mozilla’s Firefox Labs has also introduced a new toggle feature that allows users to view AI-generated summaries along with link previews. And you enable it through Settings > Firefox Labs.
