How to Stop WeChat from Reading Card on Android Phone

Just like Android, the WeChat app also has a dedicated NFC mode, which, when enabled, can easily fetch cards connected to the phone’s NFC. If you don’t want WeChat to read your credit card information, simply turn off WeChat’s built-in NFC.

To disable NFC on the WeChat app:

1. Open WeChat App on Your Phone.
2. Go to Me Section and Tap on Settings.
   

   

3. Tap on General.
   

   

4. Simply, Turn Off the “Enable NFC” Toggle.
   

   

That’s all! Even if your phone has NFC enabled, WeChat will no longer fetch your credit card, and the card details will not be shared anywhere else.

How Do I Remove Card Info from WeChat?

It is possible to remove a bank card that has been linked to your WeChat Pay account. The WeChat app allows you to manage cards; that is, you can link and unlink cards.

To unlink your bank card from WeChat Pay:

1. Open WeChat App and Go to Me Tab.
2. Tap on Pay and Services.
3. Tap on Wallet.
4. Tap on Bank Cards.
5. Select Your Linked Card.
6. Tap on Three Dots at Top Right and Select Unlink.

That’s it! Your card details have now been removed from WeChat Pay.
